The Quill's (And Other's) Summer Reading Lists

The online book world seems to be dedicated to talking about summer reading, a particularly favourite topic of mine, and the Quill and Quire's blog has some Canadian authors discussing what pages they'll be flipping this summer. The choices are eclectic, fascinating, and plentiful -- more than enough to create a really good summer reading blog challenge for anyone who might be inclined.

Chatelaine.com has started off their annual summer Beach Reads by choosing The House at Midnight as the June book of the month. And I just love the quote from popfan about Marisa de los Santos's Belong to Me, which I think is a perfect summer read.

Everyday I Write the Book Blog has chosen Dalia Sofer's amazing debut, The Septembers of Shiraz for her next online club. I read this book back when it was in hardcover and it haunts me to this day.

Entertainment Weekly has unveiled their 100 "new" classic books as a part of their 1000th issue celebration. How about a summer of "new classic"s that includes: The Amazing Adventures of Calvalier and Klay, Bel Canto, Eva Luna, The Poisonwood Bible, and The Corrections. What would be on your new classic summer reading list?
