Let's pause for a moment and think about the meaning of Thanksgiving for our neighbours to the south. This email newsletter landed in my inbox this morning with a note from Deepak Chopra, who has just published his latest book, Jesus: A Story of Enlightenment:
"In America this Thanksgiving we are caught between two competing
emotions: economic anxiety and political celebration. These forces pull
against each other, making this an uneasy holiday. But there’s one
thing that unites us at this moment: hope. America’s better self has
emerged, and we hope it will thrive in the future."
